The Marathon Grand Slam Club is comprised of persons who have completed a distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) or longer on each of the Seven Continents and on the Arctic Ocean in the North Pole Marathon.
New members receive a certificate and t-shirt. To be eligible for membership, you must have completed a recognised marathon or ultramarathon on each of the continents, exemplify the spirit of adventure marathon running and be able to authenticate your claim for membership.
Grand Slam contenders do not have to take part in specified marathons to become members, but Polar Running Adventures recommends its sister race - the Antarctic Ice Marathon - as the most genuine marathon race for Antarctica. It is the only event on mainland Antarctica within the Antarctic Circle.
There are now more than 50 members in the North Pole Marathon Grand Slam Club.
